The Rise are an original 4 piece indie dance band, been together the best part of 4 yrs. Hailing from Dundee they have earned a reputation of one of the best unsigned live bands in the area. Highlights of the bands career to date include winning the Scottish global battle of the bands @ the Glasgow soundhaus in 2005, then to go on to take 3rd place in the world final @ the London Astoria later that year. From there they've headlined the famous cavern club in Liverpool, been guests of Alan McGee’s rehab night in London, Headlined Radio 1 big day out fringe festival, picked as one of the best unsigned bands in Scotland by Radio 1, supported the likes of, The Sunshine Underground, The Feeling, Forward Russia, Proud Mary, Rick Witter, regular guests of The Complete Stone Roses, and old label friends of The View. Recently completed a successful UK tour last October, signed to Dundee label 2thumbs, the future always looks good for the Dundee 4 piece, MON THE RISE.
